High Density Micro/Hole Technology
Laser Tech, Inc. specializes in producing high-density micro thru-holes in ceramics that are cost-effective, and of the highest quality. Click here for examples of geometries that can be achieved.

Alumina Oxides Inventory:
Laser Tech maintains a large shelf inventory of Alumina Oxides (ceramic) from several popular manufacturers. We currently stock thicknesses ranging from .005" to .100" inches with surface areas up to 5.5" x 6.5" inches.

Pre-Laser Treatment:
Laser Tech uses a pre-machining treatment called "Lap Coat". This water-soluble coating minimizes normal contamination and reduces slag buildup around holes and scribe areas. This coating is removed after the substrates have been laser machined.

Post-Laser Treatment:
All substrates are clean fired before shipment to remove any contaminants. Optionally, Laser Tech offers high temperature annealing. This process minimizes the thermal stresses associated with the "Heat Affected Zone" (HAZ) and helps to restore original surface topography allowing for greater metallization adherence.

Ceramic Cutting Quality Control:
Complete inspection and Statistical Process Controls assure that your specifications are maintained from the first machined substrate to the last. Laser Tech's quality system meets or exceeds military inspection and calibration system requirements. Laser Tech is currently ISO 9001:2000 certified.

Shipping:
Laser Tech takes great care to ensure your substrates arrive undamaged during shipment. We utilize a foam packaging system for packing material instead of foam peanuts. This packaging system allows us to custom mold foam around your parts for maximum protection. We also use UPS Online Office and FedEx Ship software to efficiently process your shipments and give us the ability to immediately track any package.
